There is a widespread misconception that in order to burn more fat, we need to ever increasing amounts of exercise. But in reality, exercise is actually pretty poor when it comes to calorie burn.
Exercise does a load of great things for your body:
Adding lean mass
Making you more resilient
Improving your fitness
Etc, etc, etc
But burning calories is pretty low on the list of benefits.
